SkyTracker - Captain Gregg Bourdon: Pilot

Gregg came to the NBC Action News team in May of 2005. Originally from New England, he has lived in North Kansas City for the last 11 years. While here Gregg has really gotten to know this region of the country flying as an Emergency Medical Services pilot for Kansas City Life Flight Eagle, St. John's Med Flight in Joplin, Missouri and now part-time for Air-Evac 60 in Sedalia. While in those assignments Gregg flew many rescue missions on the heels of several tornados, floods and motor vehicle accident scenes, taking the victims to much needed care facilities.

Originally becoming a civilian airplane pilot back in 1981 he later went on to get his helicopter training and experience with the U.S. Army. Gregg served a total of 23 years between active duty and reserves. He began his career as a Paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne Division and finished his last assignment in 2001 flying the giant Army CH-47 "Chinook" in Olathe. Along the way he flew several other types of military aircraft including the Cobra Gunship and Bell Huey while serving as both a squadron test pilot and flight instructor during his flying career.

Now you can find Gregg cruising above the Kansas City area in NBC Action News Sky Tracker reporting on breaking news events, traffic problems and threatening weather conditions with the area's best airborne news team.
