Four people have been arrested following a high-speed police chase that started in Independence, Missouri, and ended in eastern Kansas.
Officers were called to the area of 24 Highway and MO-291 around 4:20 a.m. Tuesday morning after two people said they were shot at while their U-Haul van was being stolen.
When police arrived, four suspects inside the U-Haul van took off on WB I-70.

While authorities pursued the chase, suspects inside the van threw out a long rifle and a handgun along the route.
After reaching speeds of 87 mph at one point, the U-Haul was eventually halted after running over stop sticks. The van continued to drive on its rims for majority of the chase until it ended near I-70 and 174th.
Two men and two women were taken into custody. It's unclear what their motive was to steal the van.
The suspects will be extradited back to Independence.
The chase lasted almost an hour and no injuries were reported.
