UPDATE: Police identified the victim as 20-year-old Bladimir Berzunza. Kansas City police are investigating the case as a homicide.
The investigation began Sept. 18 when Berzunza's body was found in the 2200 block of Chelsea Avenue.
Officers were called to the area around 9:30 a.m. Sunday morning.
Upon arrival, authorities located a deceased male lying in the grass.
The cause of death is unknown at this time.
The investigation is ongoing.
