A victim of an attempted armed robbery, along with his roommate, fought back against a suspect in the early hours of April 22.
According to Kansas City police, the suspect held up a man with a knife on the 500 block of NW 55th Terrace.
After arriving at the apartment complex in the area, the victim yelled for his roommate to grab a gun. A fight ensued inside the apartment, where the suspect was pistol-whipped by one of the two individuals.
According to the police report, the roommate of the man originally held up at knife-point fired the gun, striking the suspect.
The suspect fled on the scene on foot, but was eventually apprehended by the Clay County Sheriff's Department at 50th and N. Oak Trafficway.
No charges have been filed yet.
