Family and friends searching for a missing Raytown, Mo. man discovered a chilling scene Saturday.

Brandon Herring, 21, has been missing since Monday.

"He missed Thanksgiving with his family, so that's why we're really pressed about getting him home," says family member Dallas Parker. "He definitely needs to be home because he has a baby that's due next week."

His family heard he was last seen at Park Meadows Apartments.

When family members arrived they claim to have found several shell casings and a unit with a window that appears to be been shot out. Herring's family also says the apartment had bullet holes on the inside walls and something that resembled blood was found outside.

"Even if it's not Brandon, there's so much evidence for something, something happened there and for none of us in this city to know about it is insane," says Alissa Henderson, a member of Hearts Infinity helping Herring's family in the search.

The family says they called police, who collected evidence outside and took a report. Kansas City police say they didn't locate anyone inside the apartment, and Brandon Herring's case is being handled by missing persons detectives.

Herring's mother says there's no chance her son left on his own. She says she last spoke with him on Tuesday, and now her calls go straight to voicemail.

"That's when I knew that, okay, 'What's going on? Where are you?'" says Rhonda Herring. "Because that's not his behavior."

Anyone with any information about the case is encouraged to call the Kansas City Police Department at 816-234-5136 or AdHoc at 816-753-1111.
