Torry Mashone Johnson on Friday entered a guilty plea to first degree murder in a 1997 homicide case in Wyandotte County.
On Oct. 22, 1997, Vicky Ernst was found dead inside her home on the 900 block of Shawnee.

Johnson, along with Jason Lanell Rucker, were arrested after new leads and forensics evidence became available for the case.
They were both charged with first degree murder in April 2015.
Johnson faces life in prison after his plea. Sentencing is set for Oct. 16, 2015 in the Wyandotte County District Court.
Rucker's case is still pending.
Both suspects were teens at the time of the homicide.
