Douglas County District Attorney Charles Branson announced Carrody Buchhorn is charged with felony murder associated with the death of an infant at a Eudora day care in 2016.
On Sept. 29, 2016, police were called to Sunshine Kids Group Daycare Home. When they arrived, they found workers performing CPR on 9-month-old Oliver “Ollie” Ortiz.
Oliver was taken to a nearby hospital where he died.
Buchhorn’s first court appearance is scheduled for Monday, April 17.
Bond for Buchhorn is set at $250,000 cash/surety.
