KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Miami County Sheriff's Office and Paola Police Department are investigating after one person was found dead Friday in a vehicle in a pond.
Deputies responded to the area of 327th Street, west of Outlook Road, and the Osawatomie Fire Department pulled the vehicle from the water.
The driver, whose identity has not yet been released, was the only occupant.
The incident still is under investigation.
