KANSAS CITY, Mo. — One person is dead and three people are injured after a vessel “exploded” at the Lake of the Ozarks, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol.
MSHP reported in a tweet that the explosion occurred near the 1 mile marker of the Glaize Arm and one boater was unaccounted for.
The unaccounted for boater, 53-year old Shawn Carroll of Richmond Heights, Missouri, was located "in the engine compartment of the vessel," according to MSHP. He was pronounced deceased by the medical examiner.
The other three occupants were transported to area hospitals. The extent of their injuries are unknown.
