A cat died, but residents of the home were able to escape a house fire in Lenexa early Sunday morning.
Firefighters were called to 7701 Darnell about 12:15 a.m. Sunday morning.
Officials say the back side of the house was fully engulfed when crews arrived.
Four residents were able to escape the blaze, but a cat perished.
Fire crews have not yet released the cause of the fire.
