A driver died early Monday morning after losing control of their vehicle and striking the concrete medium on Interstate 70, west of Blue Ridge Cutoff.
According to the initial investigation, the driver of a silver SUV lost control of the vehicle and struck the "Jersey" median barrier and rolled over, landing in the westbound lanes.
The driver died at the scene, officials said.
Both eastbound and westbound lanes of the interstate were closed for a little over an hour, according to a police report.
No one else was injured, and the driver's identity has not yet been released.
