NORTH KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Police are looking for the driver of a stolen truck that crashed into a gas line on the way off a North Kansas City dealership's lot.

A gate blocking the back entrance to the dealership was badly damaged, and pieces of a Ford truck were on the ground next to the gate. Another collision caused a minor natural gas leak, which crews patched before sunrise.

Missouri Gas and Energy (MGE) responded to the west side of the Jack Miller Kia dealership at about 4 a.m. to repair the leak. Crews capped the leaking pipe about 5 a.m., and police reopened the roadway shortly afterward.

MGE said it will make more substantial repairs to the pipeline later Friday morning so they can restore gas to the dealership.
