Police arrested a man who crashed into a driveway at a house in the South Plaza neighborhood.
The car slammed into the end of the driveway before 3:30 a.m. at the house on Wornall Road near 54th St.

The driver was alert when first responders arrived, but he was stuck in his Chevy Impala.
Crews had to extricate the man from the vehicle.

Police say the man told officers he lost control of his car while he was trying to avoid an animal.
The driver suffered minor injuries and was taken to the hospital. After he received treatment for his injuries, police arrested the man.
