House fire displaces 12 people in Kansas City, Kansas

12 people are without a home after a house a fire in Kansas City, Kansas.

Firefighters were sent to the 6000 block of Sloan Avenue at about 10:45 a.m. Saturday.

4 adults and six children were inside the home at the time. 2 other adults lived at the house but weren't home at the time.

Two people and one firefighter were treated for minor injuries. 

The fire lasted 50 minutes until it was declared under control. Investigators are still working to determine a cause. The home is deemed a total loss and Red Cross is assisting the family.
