Consul General of India Anupam Ray delivered the message to Grillot.

“We will stand with you, whatever you need,” Anupam told Grillot.
According to a news release from the University of Kansas Health System, Grillot and his family are invited to India as soon as he is able to travel.
Grillot was shot in the hand and chest while trying to stop a man who opened fire at Austins Bar and Grill on February 24.
Grillot is being called a hero. He said he doesn’t view himself as a hero; he was just doing the right thing.
