UPDATE: The man has been identified, according to police.
The Independence Police Department is trying to identify a man they found near I-70 and I-470 on Friday.
According to officers, the man is in an altered mental status and is not verbally communicating with police officers or other personnel.
He is described as white, approximately 5’10” and 150 lbs. Police did not find any identification, scars, marks or visible tattoos.
