There have been 120 homicides in Kansas City in 2016.

A double homicide on Thursday followed by another fatal shooting on Friday has made 2016 the deadliest year since 2008. There were 126 homicides in 2008.

Paulita Holmes recently lost her brother who was shot in his own apartment.

"They shot my brother, went through his pockets and left him for dead," said Holmes.

Starting in January, the ADHOC Group Against Crime will offer free classes on conflict resolution and on healthy relationships.  Those resources will be in addition to their 24-hour helpline that is already available.

Damon Daniel is the president of the ADHOC Group Against Crime.

"You have folks with all of this anger and all of this  misplaced blame. They're retaliating their anger out in unhealthy ways," said Daniel.

Daniels said anyone interested in classes should check out their website.
