A female baby chimpanzee was born on April 1, the Kansas City Zoo announced on Friday.
Zoo keepers are taking care of her.
Unfortunately, her mother has rejected her which happens sometimes, zoo keepers said.
Zoo staff are feeding her with a bottle and are preparing a chimp-like vest for the baby to cling to.
They're hoping the baby's mom will come back around, otherwise, the zoo will find a surrogate mother for the baby.
