KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A decomposing body was found Tuesday near East 18th Street and Bristol Avenue in Kansas City, Missouri, according to police.
Police say officers were dispatched to the scene just before 1:00 p.m. Tuesday and were directed to a wooded area by a citizen.
The male body is in the advance stages of decomposition but has not yet been identified.
Police said it's not known at this time if any crime was associated with the case.
Detectives are on the scene canvassing the area for any information.
