Proceeds from Noah’s Crown Town 5K helped fuel a $100,000 check to Children’s Mercy Hospital to fund targeted pediatric cancer research.
41 Action News caught up with Royal’s First Baseman Eric Hosmer before he took to the mic to start the race.
“It’s unbelievable just to see how this community unites and supports one another and it’s really cool to see everybody out here nice and early,” said Hosmer. “It’s something that we’re all trying to do to continue Noah’s project and just the fact that they included me in it I really feel honored to be here.”
