Charles Gray, legendary Kansas City newsman, died early Monday.
Gray made his mark in both television and radio news. He worked at WHB radio when it dominated the KC radio scene. Making the switch to TV, Gray was an anchor at KMBC-TV through the 1960s.
Radio listeners on WDAF-AM were treated to more than 25 years of breaking news and well-known phrases such as "police are asking many questions but getting few believable answers."
He will be missed by everyone who knew or listened to him.
