KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A Lenexa man suffered serious injuries Tuesday after his pickup truck ran off a busy highway and into a bridge pillar.
The crash happened about 4:50 p.m. on southbound Kansas 7 Highway under Shawnee Mission Parkway.
The Kansas Highway Patrol crash report states troopers are not certain what caused 49-year-old Timothy J. King's 2012 Ford F-150 to run off the highway into the concrete pillar.
King was alone in the truck and no other vehicles were involved.
The report states he was not wearing a seat belt.
