Local business offers $1,000 reward in jewelry theft caught on camera

SHAWNEE, Kan. --A local jewelry business is offering a $1,000 reward after they said three women stole a dozen gold rings.

Jeweled Legacy on 74th and Nieman Road posted surveillance video on their Facebook page Wednesday showing three women trying on and stealing the rings, according to the business.

The theft happened on August 20.

Renee Huff, the owner of Jeweled Legacy, said some of the rings were vintage and antique pieces. The total amount of rings taken is worth over $7,500.

The Shawnee Police Department is investigating the theft. They said they haven’t received any tips on the case yet.
