Police say three people are dead after separate shootings in northeast Kansas City, Missouri.
In the first shooting, they say a man was shot inside a silver Kia at about 6:30 p.m. at a car wash located near Independence Avenue and Hardesty.
The second shooting happened at about 8:15 p.m. in the 3800 block of East 6th Street.
Officers responded to the area in regard to a shooting.
When they got there, they found the victim life-threatening injuries.
He was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Witnesses told officers they saw the victim in the front yard when an unknown person shot him.
The third shooting happened at about 10:30 p.m. in the 2500 block of Van Brunt Boulevard.
That victim also died.

These are the 82nd, 83rd and 84th homicides in Kansas City so far this year, compared to 56 at this time last year.
