New Year's Eve parties are expected to have music, dancing and drinks. But sometimes things don't go as planned.
Last year party-goers demanded refunds after the Hanger 9 New Year's Eve party sold too many tickets and ran out of booze.
Experts say when choosing your celebration location, experience and reputations matter. A popular spot and proven party planners are always a safe bet.
Michael Tritt is the marketing director at Union Station.
"The crowd size will be bigger than last year because we have already sold more tickets," said Tritt.
Union Station is taking down its Christmas decorations and putting up lights and 4500 balloons for it's Swingin' Eve party.
The Power and Light district hoisted it's New Year's ball over the stage gearing up for the big party. They expect upwards of 6000 people to participate in the celebration.
Both venues say their ticket sales are closely monitored to ensure there's enough food, drink, and room for all to have a good time. Both venues still have tickets available.
