LEAWOOD, Kan. — No injuries were reported in an Olathe house fire Saturday night.
Shortly after 9:30 emergency crews from Fire District #2, and Leawood Fire Departments were called to a house fire in the 4500 block of W. 97th Street.
Heavy fire was reported from the garage of the single story home on arrival.
Neighbors reported the occupants were away.
The fire was reported under control in about 45 minutes.
The house suffered significant damage, and is not inhabitable.
An adjacent home also sustained minor heat damage.
Fire crews were called back to the house about 3:30 Sunday morning, as the fire rekindled, but it was quickly extinguished.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
