Kansas City police are investigating after a fatal shooting on the 1800 block of Topping in Kansas City, Missouri.
Police said officers were called in regard to a shooting. When officers arrived, they found a male shooting victim in the grass, who has been identified as 25-year-old Demar Swift of KCMO.
Demar was pronounced dead a short time later.
Witnesses said after the shooting a man with braids wearing a white shirt flee the scene on foot. A short time later officers saw a man matching that description in the area. Police said after a short foot chase he was taken into custody a couple blocks away from the scene.
Police said it is unknown at this time if he is involved.
