UPDATE: One person charged in high-speed police chase in KCMO

A man faces multiple charges after a police chase in Kansas City. 

Kansas City police said around 11:30 a.m., KCPD officers in the area of Lexington and Park attempted to stop a vehicle matching the description of a rape suspect. The vehicle refused to stop, and it was pursued through Kansas City, Missouri, and into Kansas City, Kansas. 

At times, the driver exceeded 90 mph and drove into oncoming traffic in both Kansas and Missouri.

Around 12 p.m., the suspect vehicle stopped and the subject was taken into custody at 8th and Freeman in Kansas City, Kansas. 

Ricardo Staley, 32, of Kansas City, Missouri, is charged with rape or attempted rape, sodomy or attempted sodomy, two counts of tampering with a motor vehicle and resisting arrest. 

Staley's bond is set at $100,000.
