KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Four people have been displaced after a fire Saturday night at an Overland Park apartment complex.
Overland Park and Lenexa fire department crews responded to the 7800 block of England at the Village View Apartments shortly after 6 p.m. Crews reported smoke and fire coming from a unit on the second floor, according to a news release.
The fire originated in the kitchen, but had expanded to the living area in one apartment.
"The fire was knocked down quickly, but the unit suffered significant fire damage," the release stated. "Three adjoining units were affected with smoke and water damage and are uninhabitable."
No injuries were reported.
The cause of fire still is under investigation.
