KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A fire ripped through a vacant house near East 27th Street and Brighton Avenue in Kansas City, Missouri, around 3:20 p.m. Thursday.
Next door to the house is a day care.
There were about half a dozen toddlers inside at the time, but the day care owner said everyone was alright.
The owner also told 41 Action News there was no damage to their building.
Officials with the Kansas City, Missouri, Fire Department could not comment on whether or not squatters were inside the house at the time.
KCFD said the cause of the fire is under investigation.
