KANSAS CITY, Mo. -  A new pet store is using their grand opening to dig up donations for hurricane relief.

Bentley’s Pet Stuff, a store that offers all natural dog and cat food opened its newest location at 8752 NE 82nd Ter. in Kansas City, Missouri.

To celebrate their grand opening, they’re offering discounts and prizes to customers who make a donation to their hurricane relief fund.

"When Hurricane Harvey happened and we knew that all of these rescues from around were going out to help these animals -- we were like, we have to help them some way, we have to start doing donations,” said Shauntell Juenger, Assistant Team Lead, Bentley’s Pet Stuff.

The proceeds will benefit local animal rescue shelters. They’re also accepting donations such as collars, dog beds and food.
