Police are investigating after someone using the Indian Creek Bike Trail found a body late Friday afternoon near Bannister Road and Lydia Avenue in south Kansas City.
Dispatchers said police were notified just before 4 p.m. after the person who found the body walked to a nearby fire station.
The nature of the person’s death wasn’t immediately known. Police said they are investigating the death as a homicide.
Officials have identified the victim as John Palmer, 55, of KCMO.
