The human remains found on April 6 at a local dump site have been identified.
The bones belonged to KCMO resident Ezekiel Willie, 24. He was reported missing in August 2014.
Kansas City police believe Willie was killed around the time he was reported missing.
Detectives are asking for anyone with information to call the TIPS hotline at 816-474-8477.

Kansas City police are investigating after human remains were found at a dump site.
Police spokesman Darin Snapp said in a release that crews found the remains at the dump site during a city cleanup project Wednesday morning.
The remains were sent to the medical examiner's office where they were determined to be from a human. Further examination will be made on Thursday.
The cause of death is unknown at this time.
