Shawnee teen dies in Friday night wreck on Kansas 7 Highway

A 17-year-old Shawnee boy died in a Friday night traffic crash.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reports Sterling Franzwa was traveling north on Kansas 7 about 11:40 p.m. when the accident occurred.

Franzwa lost control of his 2001 Ford pickup truck and drove into the median.

The report states the truck rolled several times and landed in the southbound lanes of Kansas 7 Highway.

No other vehicles were involved.
