A small plane made a crash landing in a field near 175th Street and U.S. 169.
The plane was on it's way to Manhattan from the Johnson County Airport.
After reach 1000 feet, the plane engine failed and the pilot had to perform an emergency landing.
Johnson County Sheriff's Department officials said it was a wheels-up emergency landing. The plane's propeller was damaged but there was no serious damage to the plane.
One person sustained a minor cut to his arm. Three people were on board at the time.
The Kansas Highway Patrol is investigating and the FAA is expected to investigate, as well.
