Teen rushed to hospital after near drowning in hotel pool

 KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- A teenage boy was rushed to an area hospital after he nearly drowned at a hotel pool Sunday afternoon. 

Emergency crews were called to SureStay Plus Hotel at 7333 NE Parvin Rd. just after 1 p.m. after the teen was found at the bottom of the pool. 

At one point, medical personnel revived the boy by performing CPR. 

The teen had a heartbeat when he arrived at the hospital, according to police. 

Officials with SureStay Plus Hotel declined to comment on the incident.
