Two transformers have caught fire at KCP&L’s Hawthorn Generating Station at 8700 Hawthorn Rd in Kansas City, Missouri. Firefighters are responding.
Fire crews have shut off the power to the affected transformers and are waiting for the fire to burn out.
Power is already restored to the one customer that lost it.
