PECULIAR, Mo. – Two people died in a crossover crash on I-49 near Peculiar, Missouri, Tuesday around 7:30 p.m.
Rodney Noble, 56, of Peculiar, and William Creamer, 34, of Kansas City, both died in the head-on crash.
According to a tweet from MoDOT Kansas City, the incident happened at mile marker 168 in Cass County, closing the interstate to traffic while crews investigated the crash.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report said Noble's vehicle side-swiped a car while heading south on I-49, then crossed into the median, broke through the cable barriers and hit an oncoming vehicle.
Creamer was in the oncoming vehicle, according to the report. Bother Creamer and Noble died at the scene.
The 17-year-old driver of the side-swiped vehicle was unhurt, the report said.
