Two people were killed after a wrong-way driver on I-49 at North Cass Parkway hit another driver head-on early Saturday morning.
The Missouri Highway Patrol says Shannon Hemingway, 38, of Kansas City was driving a 1998 Oldsmobile northbound in the southbound lanes on I-49 just before 1 a.m. and hit a southbound vehicle head-on.
That vehicle, a 1992 Ford, was driven by Clinten Fields, 26, of Butler, Mo.
Both drivers were pronounced dead on scene.
Hemingway was not wearing a seat belt. It is unknown if Fields was.
