KC contractor dies after fall in Leawood

One person is dead after a long fall in Leawood.

Officials said a 58-year-old Kansas City contractor fell to his death outside the lofts at Park Place near 115th and Nall.

Leawood police said the man was climbing up scaffolding when he fell.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration will investigate the circumstances of the fatal fall.
