Kansas City, Kansas police launch website to solve cold cases

Kansas City, Kansas police hope by posting unsolved homicides online, someone may come forward with the break they need to close those cases.

Brayona Hullum was speeding away from gun shots when her car flipped over, killing the 17-year-old. It’s been over a year and Kansas City, Kansas, police do not know who was shooting at her.

This is one of nine cases that will be showcased on a new website dedicated to unsolved murders.

The cases were chosen because they have the fewest amount of active leads. Tips can be submitted anonymously. 

Police hope if the website is successful, they can keep adding onto it.

Incorporating video and other tools to tell the stories of these unsolved cases and inspire people to come forward.

“When you talk to homicide victims' families, often times they feel like they’re forgotten and their loved ones are forgotten. The website, we put it up as a way to make sure that the families know that we have not given up on trying to solve the murders,” said KCK police chief Terry Ziegler.

A little over a year ago Delores Anderson’s son, Edwin “Corky” Bradley, was shot and killed inside his Kansas City, Kansas home.

Delores Anderson, son was murdered "A lot of people don't realize when they did that to him you know they hurted me too," said Anderson

Police say they have no suspects.

"I thought it would be solved within really months or days because the way things was coming together it was on Facebook, things the night it happened," said Anderson.

She say the website has brought her a little bit of hope.

"It's really helping me already because I thought that they had just left my case alone and no one was contacting me I was just thinking that it was just over."
