OVERLAND PARK, Kan. — Overland Park police say they have cleared a reported threat near 135th and Metcalf in Overland Park.
Overland Park Police Spokesman John Lacy confirmed to 41 Action News that there is not an active shooter in the area. No shots were fired, and police didn't find a gunman while searching the area.
Lacy also said that the department only received one call about the threat. Officers are still in the area attempting to follow up on the call.
Police said three nearby schools and several businesses were placed on a soft lockdown as a precaution.
