A man is fighting for his life after he was shot with his family in the car during an armed robbery in Grandview Sunday night.
Officers were called to the area of 12700 Blue Ridge at the Daisy Apartments around 8 p.m. following reports of shots being fired.
According to police, the man's wife and two young children, aged 3 and 5, were inside their vehicle whenever two men approached them from a car that contained four suspects.
The two male suspects robbed the mother of her purse at gunpoint and shot the woman's husband before fleeing the scene in an older dark 4-door car with two other suspects.
The 27-year-old husband and father was transported to the hospital in life-threatening condition.
The two suspects who approached the family are described as black males, one wearing a dark ski mask. One of the suspects is described as approximately 19 years old.
