One man was fatally shot at a house party in Lee's Summit, Missouri, early Saturday morning.
Police were called to the 1500 block of Southeast Long Place around 2:30 a.m. after reports of a public disturbance. Neighbors report seeing large crowds of people and hearing people argue.
Barb Gavitt lives one block over from the house party. She heard the gunfire from her bedroom.
"It was amazing how many people there were, on our lawn, in the driveway. There was a lot of arguing," said Gavitt.
Upon arrival, officers located a 20-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound in the driveway of a nearby home. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The victim was later identified as Malik Barbour, 20, of KCMO.
There is no suspect information at this time.
