Shane Ray's KC tattoo has some Denver fans upset

Posted

There’s nothing wrong with a local guy showing loyalty to his city, right?

Well apparently, some Denver Broncos fans think otherwise.

Shane Ray, outside linebacker for the 2016 Super Bowl champions, posted a photo to Instagram of his back tattoo. It's the Kansas City skyline with the Chiefs, Royals and Sporting KC logos placed above.

In his caption, Gray wrote, “Everyone knows how I feel about being from Kansas City Mo and that's real pride.”

Here’s a few of the comments posted on his Instagram post:

  • hj.badyal --“Not loyal to his team. Cut him.”
  • nomad_2336 – “Not a fan of KC. WTF? You are a Bronco,or you could be. Man up (explicit).”
  • gallo719 – “@stingray56 I understand that you rep your city that's whats up! Just don't understand why you would post this while you playing for Denver. Not a good look to the fans or the organization to be honest.”
  • savage_lxii – “Fr you should have just put like KC born or something not the Chiefs sign, wtf”

All though there was some hate, fans also showed love.

  • charmcitycards -- @stingray56 sick tat man. Don't let the haters even effect you. True fans will know you're blue and orange.
  • sethfrazier--Who cares if he has a kc logo on his back its where hes from. You always rock where your from
  • balloonatic13--Glad you love your home town. Even happier that you are a Bronco.
  • mcdelacruz93--That's sick bro gotta represent where you from no doubt, Broncos Country!

Ray responded with a tweet saying, " Listen people! I love the Broncos and I bleed orange and blue. Don't let a representation of pride and art upset you. Let's get this work."

He also posted a picture of a Super Ring on Instagram.
