KANSAS CITY, MO — The outdoor tailgating area might never be the same as football fans seek game-day enjoyment during a pandemic.
As first reported by CNBC, sports teams have been forced to rethink how they conduct business and keep fans, who can’t enter stadiums, engaged.
Kansas City-based design firm Populous has worked on more than 3,000, including 34 Super Bowls, and recently helped design T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The company now is working with sports teams to create ways for fans to watch games outdoors safely.
“The shift from pandemic that people are going to want to still go to games, but they’re going to want high value for their experiences,” Populous Design Director Byron Chambers told CNBC.
Those unique experiences will come soon, as sports fans are forced to adapt during the pandemic.
