Cameron Taylor joined the investigative team at KSHB in December of 2021.
Before moving to Kansas City, Cameron spent seven years working in various markets in Tennessee including Nashville. It was there he created a cold case series and covered some of the biggest stories of his career like the Christmas Day bombing in downtown Nashville.
It was also in Nashville that Cameron met his wife and adopted his golden retriever named Banks. Shortly after his wedding, Cameron and his wife adopted a golden doodle named Barney from a rescue outside of St. Louis.
Cameron got his start in Panama City Beach, Florida, after graduating from the University of Florida. Go Gators! He’s originally from Tampa.
Throughout his career, Cameron has been known for his connections in the community and his ability to enterprise lead stories. He specializes in breaking news, in-depth reporting, politics, and investigative journalism.
Cameron’s work has been recognized by several organizations including RTDNA. He was awarded a national Edward R. Murrow award for his report on the declining oyster industry and its effects on a small North Central Florida town.
When he’s not working on a story, Cameron enjoys exercising, playing a round of golf, trying out new restaurants, and exploring his community. Send him your best KC BBQ suggestions! He’s also looking forward to attending Chiefs, Royals, and Sporting KC games.
