Kansas City saxophonist Charlie "Yardbird" Parker was born August 29th, 1920. To commemorate his centennial birthday, the American Jazz Museum is hosting a mini music concert series! Help celebrate Bird on August 21st, 22nd, 28th, and 29th in the Gem Theater. The series ends with a special 12-hour jam session featuring KC's own Lisa Henry and Bobby Watson.
