Burnt Ends Mac and Cheese
1/2 cup cheese sauce
1/4 cup heavy cream
2 oz portioned burned ends, chopped
2 tbl chopped bacon
1/4 cup caramelized onion
1 bag macaroni shells
seasoned bread crumbs
Start with bacon and caramelized onion in sauttee pan. Cook to render some bacon fat. Add burnt ends, heavy cream and cheese. Heat cheese sauce mixture until to comes to a boil. Flash bag of macaroni in water. Drain well, add to pan and heat through until boiling. Transfer to pasta bowl and top lighting with seasoned bread cumbs. Toast in salamander until golden brown.
