There is never really a bad time to celebrate pancakes, whether you’re kicking off Mardi Gras or just simply because they are delicious.

1. Mixing Bowl Noshery in the Crossroads | Kansas City, Mo. (4.5 stars, 202 reviews): Mixing Bowl Noshery has received rave reviews from local Yelpers as a spot with a traditional, great breakfast menu. The pancakes are flavorful, perfectly fluffy and classic.

2. Genessee Royale Bistro in the West Bottoms | Kansas City, Mo. (4.5 stars, 167 reviews): This West Bottoms favorite offers a unique spin on the classics? picturesque quinoa pancakes with house made granola, berries and syrup.

3. Westport Cafe & Bar in Westport | Kansas City, Mo. (4 stars, 226 reviews): Three words. Lemon Ricotta Pancakes. Add in a berry compote and a whipped lemon butter and you’ll want to camp out to get a stack of these.

4. The Wooden Spoon in Overland Park, Kan. (4 stars, 136 reviews): There are two unique combinations that have become a draw for Yelpers to visit this breakfast spot. The first are the decadent Caramel Macchiato pancakes, and the second is the “Panwich,” a breakfast sandwich made with pancakes.
